Senior Engineering Manager - Marketplaces

We’re looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to empower and support our teams to deliver exceptional value to our customers. Located in our head office in Utrecht, you’ll report directly to our VP of Engineering.

What you’ll do

Take ownership of your domain: Lead and develop multiple engineering teams focused on our Marketplace integrations. You’ll be responsible for the overall technical strategy and successful delivery of our marketplace solutions. Collaborate across the organization: Work closely with product management, commercial teams, and other engineering managers to define roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, and ensure alignment with business goals. Build and grow your teams: Recruit, mentor, and coach software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, high performance, and innovation. Drive technical excellence: Ensure high standards of code quality, scalability, reliability, and security within your domain. Advocate for best practices and guide architectural decisions. Facilitate agile processes: Guide your teams in adopting and refining agile methodologies to optimize their development workflow and responsiveness. Innovate and strategize: Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, contributing to the overall engineering strategy and future direction of Channable. Lead with impact: Act as a role model for Channablers by embodying our core values. Lead by example, inspiring and motivating your teams to achieve their full potential.

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing multiple engineering teams, with at least 3 years working on a SaaS platform. You have a strong background in software engineering, ideally with hands-on experience in building scalable, high-performance systems. You have a proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects from conception to deployment. You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You have experience with agile development methodologies and a deep understanding of software development life cycle. Bonus: You have experience with e-commerce platforms, marketplace integrations (e.g., Amazon, Bol.com, eBay), or data processing systems. Bonus: Prior experience with a Python/Go backend and/or React frontend is a plus.
