Our ASPL (Auto Secured Personal Loans) team's mission is to provide effortless access to auto-secured lending products, focusing on expanding eligibility, reducing friction in the borrower journey, and building platform capabilities for new secured lending experiences. We collaborate closely with product, design, analytics, operations, legal, and compliance partners to deliver fast, clear, and trustworthy customer experiences within a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop an engineering team focused on borrower-facing flows, backend services, and platform capabilities to enhance eligibility and reduce friction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define roadmaps, gather requirements, and deliver solutions that balance growth, customer experience, and risk.
• Drive execution of cross-functional initiatives aimed at expanding access to auto-secured lending and enabling new product features.
• Enhance delivery speed, quality, and reliability by setting clear priorities, elevating engineering standards, and establishing effective execution mechanisms.
• Utilize data to identify funnel bottlenecks, evaluate trade-offs, and guide investments to improve conversion, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Coach engineers and technical leaders, fostering team capability growth and building an inclusive team culture grounded in ownership and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building and operating production software systems, including distributed systems or cloud-based applications.
• 3+ years of experience managing software engineers.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional engineering initiatives from initial planning through production launch.
• Experience working on customer-facing products with demonstrable business outcomes.
• Experience partnering effectively with product, design, and non-engineering stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience delivering products within fintech or another regulated industry.
• Ability to use metrics and experimentation to identify opportunities and make sound product and engineering trade-offs.
• Experience leading teams through periods of rapid product or organizational growth.
• Experience supporting both new product development and ongoing platform or systems improvements.
