Introduction

ConsenSys is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their Diligence team, focusing on building state-of-the-art security analysis tools for blockchain and smart contract applications. This role involves enhancing CI/CD pipelines, optimizing infrastructure, and refining incident handling procedures within a remote, global team dedicated to making blockchain safer.

Responsibilities

As a DevOps Engineer:

• Review, maintain, and extend test and deployment configurations along the CI/CD pipeline.
• Build and test mechanisms to improve uptime to meet future SLA requirements.
• Optimize infrastructure and deployment for lean and flexible operations.
• Work on platform introspection (log aggregation, alerting, performance monitoring) to help developers find and reproduce issues.
• Participate in the DevOps on-call schedule and refine incident handling procedures.
• Supervise Junior DevOps resources.

As a Backend Developer (contributing):

• Contribute and maintain microservices orchestrating program analyses.
• Improve and extend interfaces implementing efficient architectures.
• Work on an extensive stack of DevSecOps and Security tooling (fuzzing, static analysis, etc.).

Requirements

• Experience in software development with Python.
• Expert with Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker.
• Experience setting up monitoring systems to ensure high availability, security, and resilience.
• Ability to self-prioritize issues, manage operations concerns, and advocate for improvements and optimizations.
• Experience collaborating in an Agile work environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience building web services with platforms such as Django, FastAPI, Flask.
• Experience with Elasticsearch, Filebeat, Kibana.
• Experience with API paradigms such as GraphQL and REST.
• Experience efficient scaling of services based on application introspection.
• Knowledge of microservice architecture paradigms.
• Knowledgeable with Ethereum security tools.
• Experience with Azure cloud environments.
