Introduction

In this role, you will lead the development of Grafana's Interactive Learning Plugin, an open-source initiative designed to teach users observability skills directly within the product. You aren't just writing documentation; you are building the actual infrastructure that allows both developers and non-technical contributors to create seamless, in-app educational journeys. This is a production-level engineering role embedded in the advocacy team, focused on making complex data visualization accessible to everyone.

Grafana Labs is leaning into the future of software creation by standardizing agent-based development. You will be expected to use modern coding assistants like Cursor or Claude daily to prototype, generate tests, and refactor code at scale. The company encourages a 'vibe coding' mindset where speed is powered by AI, but quality is maintained through your senior-level engineering judgment. Responsibilities

• Lead the development of Grafana's Interactive Learning Plugin.
• Build infrastructure for in-app educational journeys.

• Manage the full lifecycle of the tools you build, from shipping features to participating in on-call rotations.
• Directly influence how millions of developers interact with observability data globally.

Requirements

• Strong experience with TypeScript, Go, and Kubernetes.
• Mastery of the Grafana LGTM ecosystem.
• Experience using AI agents to scope, iterate, and validate code.
• Senior-level engineering judgment.
