About the Position

Introduction

Otherlife, MoonPay's digital creative studio, is seeking a Senior Designer to lead branding projects and contribute to a wide range of design mandates. We operate at the intersection of culture, design, and emerging technology, focusing on creating clear, simple, and intuitive experiences for Web3 and digital identity. Responsibilities

Lead brand projects from concept to completion, including comprehensive research, trend analysis, competitor analysis, and identifying whitespace opportunities.
Define and develop innovative and compelling interactive brands, digital experiences, and concepts in collaboration with design leadership, brand strategists, and clients.
Establish and maintain design systems and style guidelines for typography, color, UI patterns, iconography, illustration, motion, 3D, photography, and videography.
Create and deliver impactful presentations and written rationales for internal critiques and client-facing reviews, effectively communicating design intent and rationale.
Design wireframes, screens, and prototypes to illustrate product behavior in relation to interaction, 3D, and motion.
Develop new, innovative layouts and designs that are scalable and flexible across various platforms, including web, mobile, and presentations.
Apply a user-centric design approach, considering accessibility, technology platforms, and contextual storytelling.
Collaborate closely with Design Directors, Creative Directors, other Senior Designers, Illustrators, and Motion Designers to ensure design integrity and brand alignment across all touch points.

Requirements

5+ years of design experience, with 3+ years in a Senior Designer role (or higher) within an agency setting. Candidates without this specific experience will not be considered.
A strong passion for all aspects of design, including conceptual thinking, typography, motion, copy, and imagery.
Proficiency in designing interactive websites utilizing technologies such as three.js, WebGL, React Three Fiber, Unity, Unreal Engine, and GSAP.
Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with design leadership and communicate ideas clearly.
Expert-level proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Sketch. Experience with Cinema 4D is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field.

Nice to Have

Experience designing and animating 2D & 3D objects, characters, props, and environments in varying project styles.
Experience working with crypto, NFTs, blockchain technology, and Web3.
Experience with project management software and methodologies.
