Senior Delivery Manager

The Role As a Senior Delivery Manager, you will be part of the Operations team. You are responsible for ensuring that the products and services that your delivery teams build are of exceptional quality, and delivered on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of their stakeholders. You will be acting as the first point of contact for the Backbase and customer stakeholders, ensuring that there is complete alignment with all parties involved on the objectives that are being set.

What you will be doing

Take ownership of a project’s lifecycle within and between various teams, ensuring a successful delivery Build strong relationships with stakeholders as the primary point of contact for Backbase projects Develop and manage project roadmaps, plans, detailed schedules, and project artifacts Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects Conduct regular reviews to ensure full alignment between stakeholders and project teams on deliverables, budget, and timelines Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques Prepare and present to stakeholders regarding the project progress, as well as developing solutions for the identified issues and risks Regularly report to your lead on work progress, while proactively escalating issues and seeking assistance as needed Ensure effective communication and information flow across the various delivery teams, including external entities (our customers) Forecast, track and manage project budget, as well as project resources Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Backbase products and services, as well as relevant technologies, and industry trends Maintain high customer satisfaction by creating trusted relationships Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within the scope, and within budget Continuously improve and optimize existing delivery processes in Backbase

What you need to have

At least 10+ years of proven working experience in project management or delivery management in a fast-paced environment Solid hands-on experience in managing software implementations (e.g. ERP, CRM, Core Banking) Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills Strong knowledge of PM methods (Agile/Scrum/Waterfall) Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Jira, Confluence, and GitHub BS/MS degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Finance) Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification is a plus Backbase is an equal opportunity employer.
