Who you are We’re seeking a highly seasoned and delivery-focused Senior Delivery Manager to join our dynamic EMEA team in our Beirut office. As a Senior Delivery Manager, you’ll be the linchpin in ensuring the successful execution and delivery of our complex banking solutions to clients. This role requires a perfect blend of technical acumen, client-facing prowess, and a proven track record in Agile project management within the FinTech or banking industry.

Working as a Senior Delivery Manager As a Senior Delivery Manager at Backbase, you’ll be tasked with a wide range of responsibilities that span project initiation to successful delivery. You’ll be overseeing and optimizing the delivery lifecycle of our key banking projects, translating client requirements into actionable plans, and guiding cross-functional teams to exceed expectations. We operate in a highly matrixed organization, so your ability to navigate and influence across various departments—from sales to engineering—will be crucial.

Go-to person You'll serve as the primary point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders, managing expectations, communicating progress, and mitigating risks. Your strong leadership will ensure that projects are not only delivered on time and within budget but also align seamlessly with our strategic objectives and client satisfaction metrics.

What you will be doing: Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of complex FinTech projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, timelines, and budget. Act as the primary interface between clients and internal teams, managing expectations, resolving issues, and fostering strong relationships. Drive Agile best practices across delivery teams, promoting continuous improvement and adaptability. Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, risk management strategies, and communication protocols. Monitor project performance, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to senior management and stakeholders. Mentor and guide junior team members, cultivating a high-performance culture. Collaborate closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to align delivery strategies with business goals. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance our delivery capabilities. What you bring to the table: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. 8+ years of proven experience in delivery management, project management, or program management within the FinTech or banking sector. In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and their practical application. Exceptional client relationship management and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project). Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM, SAFe) are a plus.
