Senior Data Engineer

MidAmerican Energy Company, a Midwest utility, provides regulated electric and natural gas service to more than 1.6 million customers in Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota. The company owns and operates a portfolio of power-generating assets, with approximately 61% being wind generation.

Introduction

As a Senior Data Engineer, your role will be to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure. These systems will support critical analytics, reporting, and data science initiatives across the organization. You will work within cross-functional teams to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and secure, while actively contributing to the continuous improvement of data engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust and scalable data pipelines.
• Build and maintain data infrastructure to support analytics, reporting, and data science.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and ensure data accessibility, reliability, and security.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of data engineering best practices and standards.
