Introduction

Backbase is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join their team in Amman. This role involves bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions to ensure projects align with strategic goals and deliver maximum value to banking clients across the Middle East.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and development/technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of requirements.
• Leading and facilitating workshops, interviews, and other elicitation techniques to gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements.
• Translating business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Performing in-depth analysis of current business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing efficient and effective solutions.
• Collaborating with product owners, project managers, and technical leads to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Participating in the design, development, testing, and deployment phases of projects to ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Providing guidance and mentorship to junior business analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the financial services or FinTech industry.
• Proven experience working on complex software development projects, with a strong understanding of the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficient in creating various documentation: Use Cases, User Stories, Business Process Flows, UI/UX mockups, etc.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English is required.

Nice to Have

• Professional certifications such as CBAP or PMI-PBA.
• Fluency in Arabic.
