Responsibilities

• Cultivate a strong sense of product ownership and proactively seek responsibility, often self-organizing on projects to shape Mercury's future.
• Operate in an autonomous environment within a close-knit team, experiencing a 'startup within a startup' feel.
• Collaborate closely with designers and product leaders to deliver delightful user experiences, aiming to exceed current banking and fintech software standards.
• Join a team within one of Mercury's product groups, such as Banking, Experiences, Expansion, or Risk.

Requirements

• 3-7 years of backend development experience.
• Proficiency in SQL and a willingness to learn Haskell.
• Ability to empathize with users and leverage their perspective to build highly desirable products.
• Experience making architectural decisions and analyzing their long-term impact, with the ability to articulate technical opinions and trade-offs.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with peers and cross-functional teams.
