About the Position

Introduction

10arx is seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer to lead the development of our AI Market Intelligence system. We are an early-stage, fast-paced team building an AI-native trading terminal for prediction markets like Polymarket and Kalshi. This role offers significant ownership and the opportunity to work directly with the CTO and founder.

We are looking for a hands-on engineer with a strong production background in LLMs, capable of delivering tangible results quickly, rather than extended research phases.

Responsibilities

Design and implement an AI Market Intelligence system focused on routing, retrieval, structured outputs, and evaluation cycles.
Develop robust routing mechanisms for queries based on use cases.
Build and optimize retrieval pipelines and context assembly processes.
Engineer structured output generation from LLMs.
Break down complex scenarios into separate, manageable AI pipelines.
Compare and select optimal approaches based on data-driven evaluations.
Establish and maintain an evaluation framework, including tracing and logging for prompts, context, and outputs.
Integrate diverse external data sources, including market data, prediction markets, and on-chain intelligence.

Requirements

6+ years of professional software development experience.
2+ years of hands-on experience deploying and managing LLMs in production environments.
Proficiency in Python and strong experience with RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation), orchestration, agent systems, vector databases, and evaluation/tracing frameworks.
Practical experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, DSPy, or similar.
Familiarity with AI observability tools like Langfuse or similar.
Domain expertise in fintech, crypto, DeFi, trading, or prediction markets.
Demonstrated experience working in a startup or small team, with a proven ability to build and deliver independently.
Integration of AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot, Claude) into daily workflow.
Ability to articulate past projects, discuss production challenges, and justify architectural decisions.

Nice to Have

Experience with on-chain data analysis.
Familiarity with various prediction market platforms.
