Introduction

10arx is an AI-native trading terminal for prediction markets (Polymarket, Kalshi). We are an early-stage company with a small, fast-paced team. We are looking for a Senior Applied AI Engineer to build our AI Market Intelligence system. This isn't just a "chat with an LLM" – it's a meticulously engineered system with routing, retrieval, structured outputs, and robust evaluation cycles. You will have full ownership of this critical function as our sole AI Engineer.

We prioritize rapid iteration and tangible results. We expect a baseline to be established swiftly, followed by continuous iterations and demonstrable progress every 1-3 days. We are not looking for someone who will spend weeks on initial research or propose fine-tuning models as a first step.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement request routing for various use cases.
• Develop and optimize retrieval pipelines and context assembly mechanisms.
• Engineer structured outputs from large language models.
• Deconstruct complex scenarios into distinct pipelines, avoiding a single, universal agent approach.
• Compare and validate 2-3 approaches for key use cases, making data-driven decisions.
• Build and maintain an evaluation framework, including tracing and logging for prompts, context, and outputs.
• Integrate external data sources such as market data, prediction market feeds, and on-chain intelligence.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) in production environments.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Demonstrated expertise in RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), orchestration, agent systems, vector databases, and evals/tracing.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, DSPy, or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with AI observability tools like Langfuse or equivalents.
• Proven background in FinTech, Crypto, DeFi, trading, prediction markets, or a related domain.
• Experience working in a startup or small team environment, where you built solutions from the ground up rather than just coordinating.
• A daily workflow that incorporates AI tools such as Cursor, Copilot, or Claude.
• Ability to articulate past projects, including their production impact and the rationale behind your technical decisions.

Nice to Have

• Deep understanding of prediction market mechanisms.
• Familiarity with Polymarket and Kalshi platforms.
