Introduction

Sopra Steria is seeking an enthusiastic Scrum Master to join their team in Groningen, Netherlands. You will play a key role in ensuring Agile principles are effectively applied, creating an environment where teams can thrive, and facilitating collaboration to remove obstacles. This role involves coaching team members, guiding sprint planning, and helping stakeholders prioritize effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the effective application of Agile and Scrum methodologies within the team.
• Create optimal conditions for teams to perform efficiently.
• Take initiative, facilitate collaboration, and help teams overcome obstacles.
• Communicate effectively, connecting people and fostering an open and safe work atmosphere.
• Coach team members to keep them motivated, focused, and productive.
• Identify bottlenecks early and apply organizational talent to streamline processes.
• Lead sprint planning sessions, coach team members, and assist stakeholders in prioritizing tasks.
• Contribute to the digital future of clients through challenging projects.

Requirements

• Minimum HBO (higher professional education) degree.
• Scrum Master certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master (more experience is a plus).
• Excellent command of the Dutch language, both verbal and written.
• Experience designing and facilitating team sessions.
• Familiarity with modern collaboration methodologies such as Liberating Structures, Sociocracy, and/or Management 3.0.
• Ability to identify opportunities to help both clients and colleagues within Sopra Steria and act on them.
• Capable of explaining complex issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in complex environments and skilled in successfully guiding and strengthening teams within them.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
