Qdrant is an Open-Source Neural Search Project dedicated to helping businesses leverage AI with technologies like semantic search, matching, and recommendations. We develop similarity learning solutions that enable the use of state-of-the-art neural network encoders at production scale and integrate this technology into company infrastructure.

Our core product is the open-source Vector Similarity Search Engine, Qdrant, written in Rust 🦀. We are expanding our offerings to include AI solutions built upon Qdrant and plan to develop SaaS solutions to make vector search technology accessible to all companies.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Rust developer to contribute to the development of our main project. Key responsibilities include:

• Implementing a distributed version of the Qdrant engine.
• Optimizing search and data storage performance.
• Introducing new features to the platform.

Requirements

Basic requirements for this role:

• Solid Rust knowledge.
• Understanding of concurrent code development principles.
• Ideally, experience participating in open-source projects.
• English communication skills.

The ideal candidate for this position would also have:

• Experience in low-level program optimization.
• Solid knowledge of distributed systems design.
• Participation in the development of databases, search engines, or other infrastructural projects.
• Experience with libraries such as Actix, Tokio, RocksDB, Serde, raft-rs.
• Interest in machine learning.
