About the Position

Introduction

WalletConnect is the web3 communications protocol, connecting wallets and applications across the web3 ecosystem since 2018. Having started with a single API, we are now expanding our wallet technology to offer a suite of APIs, maintaining our core principle of agnosticism (any wallet, any app, any chain). In March 2022, we successfully raised an $11M Series A funding round from prominent investors including USV, 1kx, and Coinbase, and we are currently in a growth phase.

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Cloud team, which is responsible for the entire backend infrastructure at WalletConnect.

Responsibilities

Conceptualize new features and clearly articulate ideas in written form to gather peer feedback.
Develop and enhance software using Rust, TypeScript, and Go.
Construct and deploy infrastructure utilizing tools like Terraform, AWS, Grafana, Opsgenie, and Prometheus.
Design and implement metrics/monitors, and manage the Cloud team's services.

Requirements

Experience in Rust is mandatory, TypeScript experience is a plus.
Strong experience with AWS (or other cloud providers) and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform/CDK or equivalents is a plus.
Proficiency in monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Datadog, or similar.
Solid SQL skills (PostgreSQL preferred).
Strong Linux and networking capabilities.
Proven track record of managing production services.
