Introduction

The Block Research is seeking a passionate individual to join its 25-person research team. As a Research Intern, you will contribute to producing unique insights about the digital assets industry, essential for institutions and corporate executives globally. This role provides an opportunity to work directly with the Director of Research, enhance your knowledge of the digital assets landscape, and build your personal brand within the industry by leveraging The Block's extensive network and access to comprehensive digital asset data providers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep-dive research on various digital asset-related topics, publishing findings under your individual author profile within The Block Research.
• Support the development of in-depth, topic-focused Research Reports and The Block's Data Dashboard as needed.
• Occasionally communicate with institutional clients regarding the current state and future direction of the digital assets industry.
• Engage in other tasks inherent to an early-stage company, including public appearances, knowledge sharing, and community interaction.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of academic experience.
• Practical experience in a traditional finance, data analytics, or software development setting (all backgrounds considered).
• In-depth knowledge of current digital asset ecosystem participants, blockchains, and underlying technological frameworks.
• Familiarity with statistics, Python, and SQL.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail.
• Ability to comprehend complex topics swiftly and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment for at least 3 months.

• Academic or practical familiarity with smart contract languages, deployments, and platforms.
