Introduction

At Sopra Steria Next, we guide clients in the Public, Industry, and Financial Services sectors through complex change processes where technology, data, and people converge. This includes IT landscape migrations, data migrations, data-driven work/AI adoption, and organization-wide transformation agendas with many dependencies.

As a Program Manager, you will take the lead in delivering complex transformation programs, bringing structure, direction, and calm to complexity. You will drive results, engage stakeholders, and dare to advise.

Responsibilities

This role focuses on content, delivery, and change leadership. You will work at the intersection of strategy and execution, easily switching between management, business, IT, and suppliers. You will oversee the ecosystem of digital systems, processes, and teams, ensuring everything comes together in a realistic roadmap.

As a program manager, you will focus not only on individual projects but on coherence, benefits, governance, and adoption across teams and business units.

Your main tasks will include:

• Being ultimately responsible for the delivery of programs: scope, planning, budget, quality, risks, and decision-making.
• Establishing governance (steering committees, progress, escalations) and monitoring the coherence between projects and work streams.
• Driving change and adoption: ensuring that changes are understood, supported, and applied.
• Navigating easily within a digital ecosystem (applications, integrations, data, chains) and maintaining an overview of dependencies.
• Acting as a trusted advisor: daring to challenge the client intellectually and analytically, and advising based on facts, impact, and feasibility.
• Working organization-wide and connecting people across business units: IT, operations, data, security, compliance, and suppliers.
• Contributing to the growth of Next: by sharing knowledge, coaching colleagues, and co-building propositions and approaches.

Requirements

• A HBO or WO diploma (Bachelor's or Master's degree).
• 8–10 years of experience with complex (digital) transformations, preferably organization-wide.
• A demonstrable 3–5 years of experience as a Program Manager.
• Ability to handle complexity in a multi-stakeholder and multi-vendor environment.
• Proven experience with change and adoption, including process, people, and the establishment of governance and steering.
• Combination of consultancy skills with delivery: strong analytical skills, sharp content knowledge, and a willingness to advise.
• PRINCE2 and IPMA certification.
• Experience within at least one of our sectors: Public, Industry, or Financial Services, and preferably broadly deployable.
• Excellent proficiency in spoken and written Dutch.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Nice to Have

• PROSCI or demonstrable change management experience.
• Experience with data migrations, IT landscape migrations, cloud or platform transitions.
• Experience with data-driven work and/or guiding AI adoption in organizations.
• Experience with chain management, integrations, and dependencies between systems and teams.
