Responsibilities

As a Product Specialist, you will specialize in ERP or HRM. This means you will follow in-depth training in financial or HRM topics to become a true sparring partner for our customers. Together with the customer, you will seek solutions. You are the indispensable link between the customer and all departments within AFAS, such as consultancy, product development, and success management. What we consider very important is that you commit 100% every day to making customers happy.

In the first year, you will primarily focus on gaining knowledge of the software, getting to know colleagues, and following soft skills training. In the second year, you will have ample opportunities for continued self-development, such as guiding new colleagues, conducting job interviews, or delving deeper into specific content. You can also choose to become a First Class specialist, taking end responsibility and acting as the primary contact for a number of our First Class clients. These are large organizations who use our software more intensively than other customers. You provide the necessary support and ensure all systems run optimally. You know their setup and processes, you are their sparring partner, and you speak with them regularly to stay informed. This is, for good reason, the most senior position in the department! Your daily tasks will include:

• Answering and delving into substantive customer questions.
• Brainstorming solutions that fit the customer's practice.
• Coordinating with colleagues from other departments such as Product Development and Consultancy.
• Identifying improvements, implementing innovations, and continuously making your own work more enjoyable. Ensuring ideas reach the right place.
• Helping and guiding other colleagues and consultancy trainees.

Requirements

• HBO or university level of thinking and working.
• Available for at least 32 hours per week (40 hours preferred in the first year due to training).
• Interest in business processes and continuously seeing opportunities to automate and digitize them.
• Strong enthusiasm for continuous learning and improving AFAS every day.
• Passion for software and customer contact.
• Enjoys delving into content and truly understanding things.
• Loves puzzles, analysis, and finding solutions.
• Enjoys customer contact and actively assisting them.
• Enjoys collaborating with colleagues from various teams.
• Has a feel for business processes and is energized by working with software.
• Believes that AI will accelerate your work and actively uses it.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

• A four-day work week with Friday as a development day. As a product specialist, you will be in the office once every six weeks on a Friday (that week you'll have Wednesday off).
• The option to work from home one day a week (Monday and Thursday are fixed office days). During your first six months, you will be in the office four days a week to get to know AFAS well, after which it will be a minimum of three days a week.
