About the Position

Introduction

GSR, a leader in crypto capital markets, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Controller for a 12-month contract opportunity. This role is central to our Product Control team, focusing on the critical daily P&L and balance sheet reporting for our trading activities. You will play a pivotal role in providing essential financial insights, analyzing key drivers, and enhancing reporting efficiency through automation, working closely with our Trading, Risk, and Finance teams.

Responsibilities

Produce daily P&L and balance sheet reports for trading portfolios, including insightful commentary on performance, market movements, and risk drivers.
Execute comprehensive front-to-back reconciliations, meticulously investigate breaks, and ensure timely resolution through collaboration with the Operations team.
Collaborate proactively with Trading, Risk, Treasury, and Finance on trade analysis, new initiatives, and various ad hoc queries.
Conduct independent price verification, reserves analysis, and thorough balance sheet substantiation.
Champion automation and process improvements using large datasets to significantly enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
Support month-end close activities and contribute to both internal and external financial reporting deliverables.
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of trading products, derivatives, crypto infrastructure, and the end-to-end trade lifecycle.

Requirements

Proven experience in Product Control within a dynamic trading environment.
ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent professional accounting qualification).
Strong exposure to derivatives and options.
Exceptional analytical mindset coupled with strong attention to detail and robust problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

Proficiency in Python, SQL, or VBA is advantageous.
A genuine interest in crypto markets is a significant plus.
