Principal Product Manager, HTS API Marketplace

Hopper is seeking an AI-native Principal Product Manager to architect the future of its High-Throughput System (HTS) API Marketplace. They are looking for a builder who prioritizes functional demos and rapid prototyping using vibe coding and LLMs over traditional Product Requirement Documents (PRDs). This fully remote position offers ownership of P&L and developer experience for a high-growth B2B platform, operating at the intersection of travel, fintech, and advanced marketplace mechanics.

Introduction

As a Principal Product Manager at Hopper, you will lead the end-to-end development of the HTS API Marketplace. This role involves defining the commercial and technical interface for Hopper's extensive travel ecosystem, transforming complex technical capabilities like global lodging and car rental data into elegant, enterprise-grade products that generate revenue for major global brands.

Responsibilities

• Lead the 0-to-1 development of the HTS API Marketplace.
• Define the commercial and technical interface for Hopper’s travel ecosystem.
• Package deep technical capabilities into enterprise-grade products.
• Drive revenue by creating products for large brands.
• Utilize vibe coding and LLMs for drafting and testing API specifications and documentation.
• Build functional mocks for partner portals and onboarding flows.
• Simulate marketplace economics and pricing models using SQL and rapid prototyping.
• Accelerate concept-to-demo transition beyond traditional PRD processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Principal Product Manager or similar senior role.
• Strong background in API development and marketplace dynamics.
• Experience with AI-native working styles, including LLMs and rapid prototyping.
• Proficiency in SQL for marketplace economics and pricing models.
• Ability to bridge complex backend engineering with market-ready products.
• Understanding of travel, fintech, and advanced marketplace mechanics.
