Responsibilities

As a Principal Consultant Solution Architecture, you will be the driving force behind the technical vision and strategy of our clients. You will combine your in-depth knowledge of software and system architecture with a keen eye for business needs. You will work on challenging projects at leading organizations, where you convert complex problems into clear, scalable, and innovative solutions. Your role will include:

Designing and implementing complex enterprise architectures, considering factors such as scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
Translating business needs into technical requirements and architectural designs.
Advising clients on the latest technologies and best practices in solution architecture.
Leading and participating in multidisciplinary teams of developers, engineers, and other architects.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients at various levels, from C-level to technical teams.
Coaching and mentoring junior architects and developers, and sharing knowledge within and outside Team Rockstars IT.

Requirements

Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience as a Solution Architect, a significant part of which was in a consultancy role.
Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing complex, large-scale IT solutions in various sectors.
In-depth knowledge of various architectural principles, patterns, and frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate).
Strong affinity with and knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and cloud-native architectures.
Experience with microservices, API management, data architecture, and security by design.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to convey complex technical concepts understandably to various stakeholders.
A proactive, independent, and results-oriented attitude, with strong analytical skills.
A completed relevant university education (e.g., Computer Science).
Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Nice to Have

Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Azure/AWS/GCP Architect).
