We're searching for an experienced Principal AI Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in developing and implementing advanced AI solutions, leveraging your expertise to drive innovation and enhance our product offerings. Backbase opened its Business Development Centre (BDC) in Hyderabad in December 2020. The BDC provides a dynamic environment for innovation and growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI solutions.
• Research and evaluate new AI technologies and methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into our products.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Contribute to the overall AI strategy and vision of the company.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI/ML and their potential applications.

Requirements

• Strong background in AI and machine learning, with practical experience in building and deploying AI models.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI development (e.g., Python).
• Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of MLOps practices.
• Familiarity with financial technology or banking domain.
