Introduction

Are you ready to lead the Microsoft practice in Northern Netherlands? Sopra Steria is seeking a dynamic Practice Lead Microsoft in Groningen to drive innovation, accelerate digital transformation, and further establish the company as a leading Microsoft partner in the region.

Responsibilities

As Practice Lead Microsoft, you will be responsible for expanding the Microsoft practice, focusing on new ways of working and organizing. Your key responsibilities include:

• Providing strategic direction to the Microsoft practice.
• Developing and positioning propositions related to agentic work, AI support, and smart automation within the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Articulating a clear vision for how Agentic Software Development will transform engineering and translating this into team strategy.
• Driving business development, managing senior-level client relationships, and overseeing successful tender processes.
• Connecting complex business challenges with Microsoft solutions and translating vision into concrete, scalable solutions.
• Collaborating with other Sopra Steria practices to deliver integrated end-to-end propositions.
• Building and nurturing a strong, engaged team of Microsoft specialists, coaching them in their professional and personal growth.
• Actively contributing to client projects as a Tech Lead and serving as the primary expert and sparring partner for your team.

Your mission is to achieve growth for the Microsoft practice, help clients accelerate through smart integration of business, technology, and agentic work, develop and launch new propositions with a strong focus on AI and autonomy, and attract, develop, and inspire talent.

Requirements

• Master's degree (WO) working and thinking level.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a comparable role within IT services.
• Demonstrable experience with Microsoft solutions, including (Azure) cloud, data, GitHub, and AI, and guiding complex client projects.
• Affinity with AI applications and agentic work within or outside the Microsoft ecosystem (such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, Power Platform, and autonomous solutions).
• Experience with business development, RFPs, and tenders.
• Strong leadership qualities: you inspire, coach, and build teams.
• Ability to engage with clients at director and management levels.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
