About the Position

Introduction

Binance, a leading global blockchain ecosystem and the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, is seeking an AI Engineer for their Pioneer Talent Program. This program is designed to nurture ambitious early-career professionals with up to 5 years of relevant work experience in the dynamic world of blockchain, offering full-time roles with tailored training and 1:1 mentorship.

The engineering team aims to enhance developer productivity by building an internal AI platform that streamlines tasks, reduces context-switching, and improves information retrieval. As an AI Engineer on this small, focused team, you will have significant ownership and see your work directly impact engineers daily.

Responsibilities

Design and build internal AI productivity tools for engineers, including coding assistants, knowledge retrieval systems, and workflow automation.
Develop Large Language Model (LLM)-powered applications for practical engineering use cases like code generation, code understanding, and test automation.
Integrate AI capabilities across the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements to deployment.
Collaborate with engineering teams to identify bottlenecks and deliver AI-driven solutions to overcome them.
Experiment with and implement techniques such as Prompt Engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI Agents.
Continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies and adopt those that significantly enhance productivity.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
Less than 5 years of postgraduate work experience to qualify for the Pioneer Talent Program.
Strong programming skills in at least one language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, JavaScript).
Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
A working understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and their practical applications.
Experience using AI tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar, with ideas on how to improve their utility.
Familiarity with backend or web development fundamentals.
Comfortable working with APIs and integrating different systems.
A proactive approach to ownership, addressing problems, and seeing them through.
Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively, knowing when to seek assistance.

Nice to Have

Hands-on experience with Prompt Engineering, RAG, or AI Agents.
Experience building AI tools, developer tools, or internal platforms.
Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, or engineering automation.
Experience with knowledge systems, search systems, or documentation platforms.
Open-source contributions or an active GitHub portfolio.
