PHP developer for International EdTech company - Haystack People

Our client is an international EdTech company that focuses on learning and assessment. Their mission is to provide the best tools for learning and assessment for students, teachers and schools. They focus on education in a broad sense, from learning to drive, to learning English to learning to become a doctor. With their tools and platforms they want to empower education throughout Europe.

They currently have a development team of 20 people and are looking for a PHP developer to join their team. They work with a modern stack consisting of PHP8+, Laravel, Livewire, Alpine.js, TailwindCSS and MySQL. They also work with CI/CD, Docker and AWS.

As a PHP developer you will work on the further development of their platforms and tools. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of new features, from concept to deployment. You will also be involved in improving existing features and optimizing the performance of the platforms.

What are you going to do?

Working with PHP8+, Laravel, Livewire, Alpine.js, TailwindCSS and MySQL. Developing new features for their platforms and tools. Improving existing features and optimizing the performance of the platforms. Working in an Agile team with a flat structure. Collaborate with other developers, designers and product owners. What do you bring?

A minimum of 3 years of experience as a PHP developer. Experience with PHP8+, Laravel, Livewire, Alpine.js, TailwindCSS and MySQL. Experience with CI/CD, Docker and AWS is a plus. Experience with testing (PHPUnit) is a plus. Good communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus). You are proactive and a team player. You are eager to learn and willing to develop yourself.
