Introduction

Responsibilities

• Work on the backend of a SaaS solution that is used nationwide by thousands of individuals daily for a crucial societal task.
• Develop new features, improve existing functionalities, and ensure integration with other systems (e.g., via APIs).
• Play a key role in modernizing the software, with a strong influence on technical choices and architecture.
• Migrate application components towards a microservices architecture.
• Collaborate closely with a team of seven enthusiastic software engineers and the product owner.
• Participate in knowledge sharing activities, including bi-weekly tech meetings and collaborative projects.

Requirements

• HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a PHP Developer (or in another language).
• Experience with PHP (minimum v7.4).
• Experience with Symfony or a comparable framework (Laravel, Zend, Yii).
• Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Docker, DDD, and/or Microservices is a plus.
• Residing in the Utrecht area.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
