PHP Developer

Our client, an international EdTech company, is seeking a talented PHP Developer to join their team. This challenging role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in PHP, Laravel, and MySQL to develop and implement innovative learning applications. You will contribute to a platform that provides a safe and interactive learning environment for students and teachers across the Netherlands and Europe, making a tangible social impact on education.

Responsibilities

As a PHP Developer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to developing, maintaining, and improving a complex e-learning platform. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing new functionalities and modules within the e-learning platform.
• Optimizing and maintaining existing code.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical problems.
• Contributing to the technical design and architecture of the platform.
• Collaborating with other developers, designers, and product owners.
• Writing and maintaining technical documentation.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a PHP Developer.
• Proven experience with Laravel, MySQL, and Docker.
• Knowledge of modern front-end technologies (e.g., Vue.js, React).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of agile development methods (Scrum, Kanban).
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English (verbal and written).
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
