Introduction

As an Oracle Cloud Engineer at Sopra Steria, you will help organizations design, build, and manage robust Oracle environments. You will combine in-depth technical knowledge with consulting skills, playing a key role in modernizing and optimizing infrastructures and databases. You'll work with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle databases, using automation to make environments scalable, secure, and manageable.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage robust Oracle environments.
• Modernize and optimize client infrastructures and databases.
• Implement automation for scalable, secure, and manageable environments using tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Participate in architectural discussions and provide technical input.
• Resolve complex technical issues.
• Guide clients through their digital transformation journeys.
• Contribute technical input for presales processes, proposals, and tenders.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues within the Oracle practice.
• Act as a sparring partner for clients and team members.

Requirements

• HBO or university degree in an IT field.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), middleware, and databases.
• Knowledge of Oracle databases, including installation, configuration, and optimization.
• Experience with open-source database variants such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MariaDB.
• Experience with infrastructure automation using Ansible and Terraform.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proactive mindset.
• Eagerness to share knowledge within the team.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
