Operations Engineer PKI

This company is a key player in the telecommunications sector, with a focus on delivering high-quality security services through its Managed & Support Operations department. They are expanding their focus on cloud and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and are looking for skilled professionals to join their innovative teams.

Introduction

Responsibilities

• Maintain Fortinet gateways and firewalls.
• Execute changes on performing systems.
• Review firewalls and conduct vulnerability scanning on external client systems.
• Solve incidents and manage crisis situations.
• Set up and maintain monitoring environments.
• Maintain all Fortinet product features (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAnalyzer, FortiADC).
• Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate improvements.
• Identify product improvements for departments and implement risk mitigation plans.
• Execute analysis and prepare reports on findings for various stakeholders.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience working with firewalls.
• Hands-on experience with configuration tooling, such as Ansible.
• At least 3 years of experience working as an Operations Engineer.
• Strong relationship management skills.
• Good knowledge of operating systems (Linux).
• Ability to oversee complex processes and deliver results in a constantly changing environment.
• Basic knowledge of or willingness to learn about Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

About Company

We are looking for an Operations Engineer for one of the biggest telecommunication providers in the Netherlands. You will manage, maintain, and administrate the Network Security level within the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) environment. You will be part of a team of 20 engineers, and as a PKI Operations Engineer, you will focus more on cloud and Internet of Things (IoT) initiatives, being considered a valuable asset to the team. You will work in the Managed & Support Operations department, which is dedicated to delivering high-quality security services, including the management of firewalls, email and web security, and public key infrastructures.
