Operations Associate, Binance Pay & Card

Introduction

Binance, the world's leading blockchain ecosystem and cryptocurrency exchange, is seeking a highly motivated Operations Associate for our Binance Pay & Card division. This role is crucial for managing the end-to-end operational processes, encompassing Finance and Merchant operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely settlement, reconciliation, proactive chargeback management, account management, and growth across multiple global markets. You will collaborate closely with Product, Risk, Compliance, and Finance teams, as well as external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Card Operations

• Monitor and enhance key metric rates for card programs.
• Support card growth initiatives and marketing efforts.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to investigate and resolve operational issues.
• Manage the end-to-end card chargeback lifecycle: intake, investigation, representment, and resolution with users and relevant stakeholders.
• Track chargeback trends and conduct root-cause analysis to maintain an acceptable chargeback ratio.

Finance Operations

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation, resolving all discrepancies.
• Maintain reconciliation logs and escalate aged exceptions according to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Support fund transfers, payments, and ensure smooth program operations.
• Monitor payment success rates and categorize failure reasons.
• Assist in month-end close procedures and reporting.

Merchant Operations

• Manage onboarding workflows for new Pay and Card merchants.
• Maintain onboarding trackers and ensure data hygiene for compliance across merchants.
• Serve as the primary contact point for assigned merchant accounts.
• Prepare merchant performance reports and deliver Quarterly Business Review (QBR) materials to achieve targets.

Cross-Functional & General

• Conduct data analysis to support growth initiatives.
• Develop and maintain operational reporting templates for card KPIs, settlement metrics, and merchant health.
• Contribute to the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and playbook maintenance.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and operational readiness testing for new product launches.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a payments, fintech, or banking operations role.
• Hands-on experience with card products (credit, debit, or prepaid) is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with chargeback/dispute resolution processes (knowledge of Visa/Mastercard rules is a plus).
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
• Self-organized with a high attention to detail; capable of managing multiple workstreams independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• High accountability – comfortable owning outcomes, not just tasks.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in a crypto, Web3, or digital asset environment.
• Exposure to merchant operations or B2B account management in a payments context.
• Understanding of FX settlement mechanics, clearing cycles, or card network economics.
• Experience with SQL or BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Metabase.
