Responsibilities

• Implementing and managing the modern digital workplace.
• Setting up various mobile devices and laptops with Windows 10 and macOS.
• Implementing a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) concept.
• Ensuring the technically sound execution of the digital transformation to a hybrid environment.
• Supporting users from various organizations and levels in troubleshooting problems.

Requirements

• HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience as a Modern Workplace Engineer within Microsoft 365 and hybrid cloud (Azure) environments.
• Extensive knowledge and certifications in managing modern desktops, identity and services, and Intune.
• Experience with device deployment (Windows, iOS, and Android).
• Experience with applications in Windows 10 (packaging & deployment).
• Knowledge of Citrix XenApp, VMware, and Topdesk is a plus.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

About Company

As a Modern Workplace Engineer, you will work at an organization that originated from a collaboration between multiple government institutions. They have been in existence for almost eight years and, with only 35 employees, are responsible for the optimal functioning of these government environments, which in turn support over 200,000 people. The team you will join consists of approximately 20 colleagues, including Technical Application Managers, Functional Managers, BI specialists, and Security specialists. Together, you will work with enthusiasm every day to ensure these government environments function at the highest level, allowing them to focus on innovation and further expanding their services. Focusing is enhanced with a cup of coffee and a good sense of humor, both of which you'll find plenty of here! The old environment consists of a Citrix On-premises environment (2,100 workstations) and is currently being converted to a hybrid modern environment, focusing on flexible workstations increasingly configured for SaaS or MAM applications. Due to Covid-19, the digital transition accelerated, leading to a swift implementation of Microsoft 365. The organization is looking for someone who can contribute ideas and innovation in this area.
