Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated deployment scripts to fully prepare complete workstations, cash registers, handhelds, scanners, switches, and access points, from OS and drivers to client configurations.
• Ensure a scalable and reproducible deployment environment for flawless and efficient rollout of new hardware and software to retail clients.
• Analyze and resolve third-line incidents within complex management environments, addressing both hardware failures and software issues.
• Maintain technical contacts with suppliers regarding firmware, drivers, OS updates, and new hardware models, monitoring the quality of all deployed items.
• Advise clients and internal teams on the setup of retail IT environments, both centrally and in branches, and assist with validating and testing new equipment.
• Collaborate with other System Engineers to improve standards, tools, and automation, ensuring the continuous operation of thousands of retail users.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a System Engineer or similar role (preferably within the retail sector).
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Android systems.
• Affinity with hardware and its control.
• Proficiency in Dutch and English.
• Willingness to work hybrid and possession of a B driving license.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
