Introduction

Anchorage Digital is seeking a dedicated Member of Risk for its Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team. This role is crucial for supporting informed decision-making by identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks within the world's most advanced digital asset platform for institutions. You will play a key role in developing risk strategy recommendations and communicating findings to key business partners and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) for Anchorage Digital's regulated entities.
• Advise on qualitative and quantitative aspects of Anchorage Digital's risk assessment standards.
• Provide consultation on the preparation of regulatory reporting, including identifying and controlling risks surrounding that process.
• Perform Quality Assurance on RCSA data as required.
• Facilitate root-cause analysis on risk events, ensuring identified control gaps have remediation plans and overseeing timely remediation.
• Draft comprehensive risk assessment reports and presentation materials for senior leadership and regulators.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify risks, map mitigating controls, and evaluate effectiveness.
• Determine methods and procedures for new assignments and effectively navigate roadblocks.
• Support audit and regulatory requests, including providing risk assessment summaries and remediation evidence.
• Assist the Risk Assessments Lead in evaluating new business initiatives in relation to risk appetite.
• Communicate and escalate risk trends and best practices.
• Break down large risk assessment projects into manageable tasks, estimate scope and time accurately, and articulate different options, trade-offs, and justifications for priorities.

Requirements

• Technical Skills:
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of specific domains such as RCSAs and the operations of a GRC tool.
  • Ability to interpret applicable regulations and conduct self-starter research.
  • Excellent Google Sheets or Excel skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• Complexity and Impact of Work:
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to map mitigating controls and articulate risk rating rationale.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess a wide range of topics and evaluate risk at both micro and macro levels.
• Organizational Knowledge:
  • Ability to assess an organization's risk management policies and strategies in relation to applicable regulations and regulatory expectations.
  • Understanding and consideration of Anchorage Digital’s strategy as part of the risk assessment process.
  • In collaboration with the Risk Assessments Lead, understand how company priorities relate to Enterprise Risk Management and effectively communicate the 'why' behind the work.
• Experience:
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Crypto industry knowledge.

Nice to Have

• Experience with a variety of GRC tools.
• Certifications in risk management or related fields.
