Introduction

We are seeking a Medior/Senior Python Developer for an Amsterdam-based tech studio that builds high-scale web platforms and leverages advanced AI tooling. This role offers a hybrid setup with up to 8 weeks of remote work from abroad per year. The company is passionate about hiring great developers with a high technical bar, emphasizing clean, testable, and maintainable code. You will join a team of seasoned experts, building web platforms and greenfield products.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-scale web platforms using Python/Django and FastAPI.
• Work with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes for deployment and orchestration.
• Design and interact with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Contribute to moving towards a fully event-driven architecture.
• Implement real-time applications using technologies like Kafka, GraphQL, and Redis.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a Backend Developer, preferably in a scale-up environment.
• Hands-on experience with Python and frameworks like Django or FastAPI.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of event-driven architecture and real-time applications.
• Passion for writing clean, testable, and maintainable code.
• Availability for 40 hours per week.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
