Introduction

Sopra Steria is seeking a Medior Python Developer to join their team in Nieuwegein, Netherlands. As a technological partner, you will work on various challenging projects, contributing to end-to-end corporate technology and software solutions.

Responsibilities

As a Medior Python Developer, your tasks may include:

• Bringing a Proof of Concept (PoC) utilizing one or more AI models to a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) using FastAPI and Python.
• Developing image recognition applications.
• Working in a Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and/or Test-Driven Development (TDD) Agile environment.
• Implementing data models for predictions, such as public transport traveler numbers or renewable energy storage needs.
• Conducting AI research to improve Natural Language Processing (NLP) models and integrating them into document search applications.
• Building applications to assist specialists in collecting and analyzing security risk data (Flask) or verifying document authenticity (Django).
• Evaluating the use of OpenShift.
• Migrating Jenkins CI/CD pipelines to Azure pipelines.
• Collaborating on defining steps to run applications in a Kubernetes cluster (e.g., using Helm, Dockerfile, Podman).
• Selecting new frameworks like FastAPI.
• Making existing unit and integration tests more effective.
• Discussing and proposing ideas within the team to drive progress.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with at least 2 frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experience with and ability to apply testing methodologies (unit, integration, acceptance tests).
• In-depth knowledge and application of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or OpenShift.
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Experience working in accordance with DevOps principles.
• Ability to contribute to software architecture and technical design.
• Enjoys working in a team.
• Experience with knowledge sharing and mentoring colleagues.
• Possesses a positive mindset and solution-oriented attitude.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent relevant education.
• Must be a Dutch passport holder and resident in the Netherlands.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
