Introduction

Sopra Steria is seeking a Medior Frontend Developer to join their JSRoots practice. You will contribute to tailored, end-to-end software solutions for large organizations and semi-government entities. The role involves working within multidisciplinary teams, tackling client challenges, and focusing on user experience and accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Rewrite existing frontend applications to modern frameworks like React or Vue.
• Implement design systems in collaboration with UX/UI designers.
• Optimize performance and accessibility according to the latest web standards.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Integrate with backend APIs and design efficient state management solutions.
• Develop or expand automated tests and testing strategies.
• Discuss and implement security best practices in the frontend codebase.
• Share knowledge and experience with team members and junior developers.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with state management libraries like Redux, Vuex, or MobX.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Testing Library.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and the deployment process.
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Experience working according to DevOps principles.
• Enthusiastic about user experience and accessibility (a11y).
• Positive mindset and problem-solving attitude.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with UX/UI designers and backend developers.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent relevant education.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of a backend programming language such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
