Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and guide the infrastructure team.

Requirements

• Experience leading infrastructure teams.
• Higher professional education (HBO) work/thinking level.
• Background in System Administration, Workplace Administration, Application Administration, and/or Network Administration.
• Demonstrable technical affinity.
• Experience with supplier and service management.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

About Company

This organization supports refugees in the Netherlands, helping them take their first steps in the country. With various locations nationwide, they offer diverse services to refugees. Their Utrecht office houses an IT team of approximately 30 professionals dedicated to managing, designing, and optimizing the organization's IT environment. The IT team is divided into two sub-teams, and you will lead and coach the Infrastructure team. You will be a true leader, functionally managing the team, handling HR responsibilities, and contributing to the development of your colleagues. You are skilled at connecting with team members and are a genuine people manager. You will also stay technically informed about your team's work, propose improvements, and keep up with new developments in the field. Additionally, you will work on policies relevant to your team members' activities and ensure the ongoing transition to a governance-focused organization. This includes tightening supplier and service management, where you will play a crucial role. You are not afraid of challenging conversations and can constructively improve processes. Finally, you enjoy connecting with other departments to enhance collaboration. You will have significant autonomy and the opportunity to make a real impact in this role, working closely with an Information Manager, IT Manager, and Program Manager.
