About the Position

Introduction

Reddit is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to design, build, and deploy industrial-level machine learning models for ad ranking, bidding, and optimization. This role offers full ownership of the ML lifecycle, from research and ideation to building and maintaining scalable systems in production. Full-time telecommuting is an option.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy industrial-level machine learning models to solve critical problems in ad ranking, bidding, and optimization.
Take full ownership of the ML lifecycle, from ideation and research to building scalable serving systems and maintaining models in production.
Perform systematic feature engineering to transform raw, diverse data into high-quality features that drive model performance.
Work closely with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to translate business challenges into effective ML solutions.
Improve the reliability and stability of ML systems by building robust monitoring, alerting, and automated retraining pipelines.
Research new algorithms, stay up-to-date with state-of-the-art ML techniques, and contribute to the team's strategy and roadmap.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering (any field) or related quantitative discipline.
(3) three years of experience in Machine Learning or a related occupation.
Proficiency in Machine Learning concepts.
Experience with TensorFlow.
Proficiency in Python and SQL.
Expertise in Feature Engineering and Selection.
Experience with Ads predictive model design.
Experience with Ads predictive model offline training and model evaluation.
Experience with Ads predictive model online/serving experiment and analysis.
Experience with Ads modeling serving status monitoring and incident mitigation (Oncall).
Knowledge of Distributed Systems.
Experience with Prompt Engineering and RAG.
Any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience is acceptable.
