They are seeking enthusiastic individuals eager to make a difference in healthcare by applying large-scale technological innovations and digital intelligence to improve patient care and medical research. This role is based out of their headquarters in the Greater Seattle area.

Responsibilities

• Build and evaluate deep neural networks (DNNs) from scratch, including optimizing model size and architecture, for various data and prediction targets.
• Evaluate ML models with a strong understanding of statistics and measurement/decision science, including precision, NPV, recall/sensitivity, specificity, and their tradeoffs.
• Fine-tune LLMs and multi-modal models using supervised and reinforcement learning, covering both third-party API/SDK-based fine-tuning and custom training on cloud-based compute clusters.
• Optimize GPU usage for model training and inference.
• Design reward functions or graders for Reinforcement Fine-Tuning, especially with LLMs.
• Build AI agents using frameworks like LangGraph or AutoGen to create end-to-end agentic AI applications.
• Design and implement self-improving AI agents.
• Build and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable software solutions using modern cloud-based paradigms including CI/CD, DRI, and on-call practices.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience building production ML engineering systems in a team setting.
• 1+ years of experience working on modern cloud-native platforms and languages (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with crafting modular APIs and building engaging and intuitive web experiences, especially agentic AI protocols such as MCP and A2A.
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field.
• Authorized to work in the United States for any employer (Truveta is unable to sponsor work visas).
