Introduction

Are you an experienced Linux Engineer passionate about automation, scripting, monitoring, and security? Join a dynamic Linux team responsible for managing and evolving a robust Linux environment. You'll contribute to optimizing infrastructure, ensuring stability, scalability, and security, and actively shape architectural decisions for future-proof solutions. This role offers significant freedom and collaboration opportunities with infra, DevOps, and cloud colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Daily management of the Linux environment.
• Developing and automating processes using scripting (Bash, Python).
• Monitoring and resolving issues.
• Further development and optimization of the Linux infrastructure.
• Actively contributing to architectural discussions and future strategic choices.
• Knowledge sharing and collaboration with colleagues across infra, DevOps, and cloud teams.

Requirements

• Completed HBO (higher vocational education) degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a Linux Engineer.
• Excellent knowledge of Linux operating systems (Red Hat, Debian, Ubuntu).
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible.
• Experience with scripting (Bash, Python).
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Proactive, analytical, and results-oriented.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Nice to Have

• Experience with container management (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI).
