Lead PHP Developer - Edtech Platform

This Edtech scale-up has developed a unique platform where Dutch individuals can take courses and earn certificates to enhance their professional skills. You'll see the direct societal impact of your work. The organization is expanding into Europe, aiming to bring its culture to other countries.

Responsibilities

• Set up and guide a development team.
• Be responsible for the platform used by thousands of users.
• Contribute to architecture design and code reviews.
• Engage in personal development opportunities.
• Work within a Scrum team with two-week sprints and weekly retrospectives.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a PHP developer.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience with Laravel.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with Docker.
• Familiarity with AWS/Azure.
• Minimum of a Bachelor's (HBO) degree.
• Strong communication skills.
• Possess natural leadership qualities.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Interest in Kafka and Go.
• Experience or interest in Blockchain / Web3 projects.
