Lead PHP Developer

The development team consists of about 15 individuals, including front-end, back-end, and Tech Leads.

Introduction

Are you a seasoned PHP Developer looking for a challenging Lead role at a rapidly growing international platform? This organization is an international trading platform facilitating the import and export of various agricultural products like livestock, crops, and raw materials. They aim to optimize the agricultural supply chain through their IT platform and are seeking a Lead PHP Developer to strengthen their team in Amsterdam.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex backend systems that form the core of the trading platform.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and other developers to determine the technical direction of projects.
• Coordinate a team of approximately 4-6 backend developers.
• Coach team members in their technical development.
• Ensure successful project delivery.
• Contribute to architecture design and code reviews.
• Implement new functionalities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a PHP Developer, with at least 1 year in a leading role.
• In-depth knowledge of PHP (Laravel).
• Proactive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Strong drive for continuous self-development and a willingness to share knowledge.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Nice to Have

• Experience with MySQL and VueJS.
• Experience with Docker and AWS.
