Lead PHP Developer

Introduction

We are seeking a Lead PHP Developer for a significant international player in the e-commerce sector. This is a challenging back-end focused role, though there's also the possibility to work on the front-end if desired. You will join dynamic 'Squads' formed for specific projects, typically lasting around 3 months, before moving to a new project with a new team. The squads work on expanding e-commerce environments, developing innovative features, and improving integrations with external systems. You'll contribute significantly to the company's growth using a state-of-the-art tech stack.

Responsibilities

• Develop new functionalities for e-commerce environments.
• Optimize and maintain existing code.
• Integrate external systems using APIs.
• Work collaboratively in an agile team with other developers, testers, and product owners.
• Actively contribute to architectural choices and technological solutions.

Requirements

• HBO/WO (higher professional education/university) work and thinking level.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a PHP Developer.
• Experience with Laravel and/or Symfony.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and Microservices.
• Proactive, strong communication skills, and a true team player.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Nice to Have

• Experience with Vue.js.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Unit Testing and TDD (Test-Driven Development).
