Introduction

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead PHP Developer to join a full-service agency focused on projects with social impact. You will lead technically complex Laravel and Symfony projects, ensuring high code quality and contributing to the technical architecture of web applications. This role offers the chance to mentor team members, drive innovation, and work on solutions that are both functional and sustainable.

Responsibilities

• Lead technically complex Laravel and Symfony projects with high code quality standards.
• Design the technical architecture of web applications, including ERDs and use cases.
• Perform regular code reviews and provide comprehensive guidance and coaching to team members.
• Actively contribute to company innovation, make technical decisions, and organize knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, UX/UI Designers, and other Developers.
• Work on large, ongoing commercial and socially impactful projects.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a PHP Developer, preferably in an agency environment.
• Demonstrable experience with Laravel and/or Symfony.
• Experience with DevOps practices (CI/CD) is a plus.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (JavaScript, React/Vue) is a plus.
• Experience leading projects and mentoring junior/mid-level developers.
• Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
