Introduction

Are you a Lead Frontend Developer looking to inspire and guide teams in developing high-performing and visually appealing frontends? A rapidly growing digital agency in the heart of Utrecht, working for the largest sports organizations in the Netherlands, is seeking an experienced Lead Frontend Developer to join their multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and modular frontend architectures.
• Lead and coach a team of Frontend Developers.
• Ensure code quality, performance, and SEO optimization.
• Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to achieve pixel-perfect implementations.
• Actively contribute to the technical roadmap and innovation within the team.
• Review code and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Frontend Developer, with at least 2 years in a leading role.
• In-depth knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular.
• Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, and preprocessors like SCSS or LESS.
• Familiarity with state management solutions (Redux, Vuex, Context API).
• Knowledge of bundlers (Webpack, Vite) and build tools.
• Experience with unit and integration testing (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress).
• Understanding of SEO, accessibility, and performance optimization.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Nice to Have

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Experience with GraphQL.
