Introduction

Join a pioneering fintech company based in Amsterdam that is revolutionizing financial administration for entrepreneurs. This role is for a Lead Engineer who will be instrumental in leading the engineering team and shaping the technical direction of the platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of critical software components using Go.
• Mentor and guide a team of talented engineers, promoting best practices and continuous learning.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define technical requirements and roadmap.
• Drive architectural decisions and ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of the platform.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong proficiency in Go (Golang).
• Experience with event-driven architecture, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Expertise in database design and optimization (SQL, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for fostering collaboration and guiding teams.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
