Responsibilities

• Lead a team of data engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and development.
• Monitor progress, capacity, and priorities across multiple projects.
• Implement best practices for cloud-based data infrastructures (Azure).
• Design, build, and manage the central data platform.
• Ensure reliable data processing and accessible data streams.

Requirements

• HBO/WO education in Informatics, Data Science, or a comparable field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, Spark, and Unity Catalog.
• Knowledge of Python, SQL, and API integrations (such as REST).
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and tools like Azure DevOps.
• Strong communication skills.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
