As a Golang Developer, you will be part of one of the teams, working daily with Golang, TypeScript, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Prometheus, and Grafana. You will operate within the Spotify model, enjoying significant freedom to devise optimal solutions. The company works with six teams, each comprising 5-7 developers and one team lead. Teams are structured with a mix of junior to senior members to foster continuous learning. Each team focuses on its own application, which runs in the AWS cloud and is built in Golang. All teams embrace a DevOps mindset, taking end-to-end responsibility for their applications.

The teams are multidisciplinary, contributing to the entire development chain, from conceptualizing new functionalities to designing, building, testing, and implementing software. They leverage a modern tech stack and tooling, with an emphasis on creating secure, scalable, and high-quality applications.

Responsibilities

• Work on secure and scalable applications with a real societal impact.
• Primarily focus on Golang development, with opportunities to learn Golang if new to it.
• Engage in the complete software development lifecycle, from ideation to implementation and management.
• Develop cloud-native architectures in AWS using technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Write software with a strong focus on quality, performance, and scalability.
• Share knowledge within your team and the wider organization, learning from colleagues and staying updated on the latest technological advancements.

Requirements

• Completed HBO (higher vocational education) or WO (university) degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with software development (e.g., Java, Python, C#, or PHP).
• Experience with Golang is a significant plus, but the opportunity to learn it is definitely provided.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud environments is a plus.
• Analytical, proactive, and a true team player.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
