This rapidly growing company with approximately 50 employees needs your help to support users and manage systems. Your colleagues will count on your excellent support and system knowledge to ensure they can work optimally. You will contribute to the development of the IT infrastructure (on-premise and cloud), both in management and projects. This includes Microsoft 365, Active Directory, server management, networking, and the Azure cloud environment. Your daily work will involve a mix of 1st and 2nd line support and setting up new systems and projects.

As a Junior System Administrator, you will be trained by experienced colleagues. There is ample opportunity for personal development and specialization in your areas of interest. You are someone who enjoys tackling technical problems, learning new things, and collaborating. You work in a structured manner and contribute ideas on how IT can best be utilized. In this role, you will also participate in standby shifts, alternating with two other colleagues. Approximately once every three weeks, you will be on standby for a week and receive a fixed allowance, in addition to compensation for hours worked during standby.

The company has two locations: Amsterdam and Utrecht. Your primary workplace will be Utrecht. The organization focuses on socially relevant projects in the public sector. This is an ambitious, growing team with a pleasant working atmosphere and good employment conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to colleagues.
• Contribute to the development and management of IT infrastructure, both on-premise and cloud-based.
• Work with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows Server, networking, and Azure cloud environments.
• Participate in IT projects to set up new systems and services.
• Collaborate with experienced colleagues, learn new technologies, and specialize in areas of interest.
• Participate in standby duties (approximately 1 week every 3 weeks).
• Think proactively about optimizing IT utilization.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a comparable role.
• HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level, preferably with an IT diploma.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Windows Server.
• Eagerness to develop further in Azure, networking, and virtualization (VMWare/Hyper-V).
• Excellent Dutch language skills, both spoken and written.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

• A salary of €2,500 - €3,200 per month (based on 40 hours).
