Responsibilities

As an Operations Engineer, you will be involved in managing live production systems and applications. Your main tasks will include:

Understanding and acting upon expected changes post-release.
Providing day-to-day support for your application and its underlying infrastructure.
Configuring and implementing monitoring tools for 24x7 surveillance with appropriate event alerts.
Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues.
Specifying, testing, and executing deployment and rollback scripts.
Specifying, creating, and executing Performance and Operational Acceptance Tests, including High Availability and Disaster Recovery Tests, with support from the Dev Engineer.
Understanding and monitoring the entire technology stack your application runs on.
Ensuring your team and application fully support the company's implementation of Service Transition and Service Operations ITIL processes, including Operational Risk Control.

Requirements

At least a BSc. Degree.
Experience working with Operations activities (ITIL).
Affinity with the implementation of security measures.
Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL) with the ability to apply it in the context of IT operations.
Experience working according to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Good English communication skills.
Proactive in seeking information and sharing opinions.
A team player eager to become a true professional.
Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
